crappy nvidia hdmi driver
#1
so, on my htpc i wanted a strong gpu for dsplayer, which puts to shame any android or whatever else is available for kodi, in terms of image quality. however my nvidia gtx 1050 ti does not send AC3 or DTS signal to the tv-receiver connection. on the same exact system, onboard intel card sends the 5.1 signal, and also when i plug in the amd card, it works also.

does anyone have a driver that sends HDMI audio signal properly through nvidia? thanks...

Pass-through audio via HDMI (waspi) should send the signal unadulterated through the cable, what is done with it depends on the device hooked up to it.Audio quickstart guide (wiki). Am I missing something here?

Nvidia drivers to pass along the audio is not working?

nothing missing, the driver in sound properties says that it is compatible with dolby digital, i select directsound hdmi or waspi hdmi, and it does not transfer to the receiver as dolby digital.
it says the same thing as intel hdmi or amd hdmi, it just does not work.

Submit a proper debug log (wiki) posted to a public pastebin and that URL linked back to this thread in a message, and perhaps some of the audio experts will look at it. Audio troubleshooting (wiki)
