Hi!

Can I easily randomize one or more music genres in Kodi? I.e., can I tell Kodi to make a random mix of Progressive House + Progressive Trance?

Also, can I restrict that mix by BPM (only 120 - 140 BPM)? How would I do that?

Edit the Party Mode smart playlist, adding rules that say genre IS "Progressive House" OR genre IS "Progressive Trance" (or maybe genre LIKE "Progressive")

Then when you go to party mode from the side blade (not just look at that playlist from the smart playlist screen) it will always pick random songs using those rules.

Sorry no, Kodi does not process the BPM tag (yet).

If not already used then it maybe possible to do a workaround for BPM using the Mood tag, for example set anything with a fast BPM something like "Uptempo".

TADB also has a tempo field, not sure if Kodi reads it though.

I categorize all my drum and bass as "very fast"
