Yes, Windows. This is a Windows forum you started this thread in. Try downloading Kodi install from the 'Release Installer' instead of the blue Windows logo. It's directly under it. Better yet, you could install a v.17.2 nightly a little further down the page from 'Development builds' where you will be directed. Select Krypton and not Master unless you want v.18. The Windows store install is different from the release installer. Perhaps this will make the difference for you.

Be sure you are selecting at minimum the last box in the Kodi installation download. Can't think of any other reasons your past installs are not starting?

I had seen an earlier comment about the 17.0 to 17.1 upgrade being a Microsoft problem. Looks like that is true. Recommend not using the blue windows logo download. Instead, use the release installer just below.
