v17 KODI Crashes On Every Exit
#1
Every time I exit KODI on Windows 10, it hangs and I have force close. I used to have this problem for years under older revisions of XBMC running on Mac OSX, but now it happens on Windows 10. Is KODI still plagued by this bug? Is anyone else experiencing this?

I don't think Kodi is plagued by a closing bug, but has been surrounded by add-ons that hold up the show. I do know that Kodi writes the log and closes out web links on exit that sometimes takes a bit of time. The interface usually exits in 10-15 seconds and background tasks can take a few minutes. Anything longer and posting a proper debug log (wiki) trying to exit to a public paste-bin and that URL linked back to this thread might disclose your issue.

Kodi always crashes on Exit even after completely deleting the Kodi folder under AppData/Roaming. I'm on Win7 Home Basic 64bit
This is the log: https://pastebin.com/sXV2xHLG
Any ideas will be very appreciated

Outside of the older graphics engine (compare my 8 yr old gfx card with yours (mine has been hitting the wall http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-HD-6320-I...on-HD-5770) and the fact that there doesn't seem to be any proper drivers for windows 10 for that card https://community.amd.com/thread/184006

Looking over the log, I see this CNetwork::NetworkMessage - Waiting for network services to stop

Let's try something a bit different, before you exit; hit the slash key \ as if to use Kodi in windowed mode. Run Process Explorer (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi...lorer.aspx free download and install) and find Kodi, right click on it and go to properties and see if you can see the process that is holding it up when you hit Kodi exit.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did this but I don't know where in the Properties of Kodi in Process Explorer I should look for the process that is holding it from exiting properly.

Threads and TC/IP will probably have something, give it a bit of time and see if the timeout finally exits. BTW: did the graphical interface disappear?
