How can i do this?

It has happened to me twice unintentionally, i use my ds4 to control kodi that is set up on a second monitor (TV) and i was able to use my mouse/keyboard on my computer independently.

If Kodi is not in focus, then remote or mouse is not going to pass commands. Activating various screens can be accomplished with the keyboard Alt+tab, (or shift+windows key+left/right arrow )  this might be tied to a custom button. There might be the possibility to pipe commands from the o/s to Kodi but is beyond the scope of your casual question. If you had success using multiple controllers on all screens at the same time, I would say you're the lucky one.
