Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way to enable Kodi on Ubuntu to act as receiver for audio streams from a Samsung S9 mobile phone? I often play music from my phone and would love to be able to play it over the Kodi connected Bluray audio system.
I know that Kodi supports Airplay (well, it's really unstable but it works sometimes) but since I moved over to Android I couldn't find a good solution. I know about the Kodi RC app but that doesn't quite cut it.

Any suggestions where to start?

Try the mobile app 'Yatse' it's an exceptionally well constructed remote controller for Kodi but it also allows you to play media and select the output source.

Thanks. I am aware of yatse but was looking for a media player independent solution.
