@Team-Kodi; Will you actively promote Kodi development for this years Hacktoberfest?

https://hacktoberfest.digitalocean.com/

Devs who sign-up and contribute at least five pull requests to public projects on GitHub during October have a chance to win a "limited edition" t-shirt.

Good opportunity to promote Kodi development and maybe reach more developers?

I am sure we will (at least try) as you might be able to deduct from this

However this process just started so not sure if we would be ready in time.

Also to be clear if any one reads this, as soon as you join Hacktoberfest any merged PR will be valid any way if we are actively participating or not.

I understand it's not merged PRs that counts, but opened PRs

I joined already and the PR I opened yesterday immediately was counted for me, even before it was merged.

That's nice! Maybe since you are closing in on a final release of Kodi v18 Leia you could post a news post suggesting that new developers contribute by fixing five or more bugs as part of this years Hacktoberfest. Maybe help those new developers to pick bugs for fixing by listing/tagging a bunch of open "entry-level bugs" or similar on Trac and add tags to more simpler bugs and features/functions as October goes on.
