Thanks - it's PR16658, which has already been reverted earlier today by https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/16706 ("Introduces discontinuity errors with LiveTV and commercial breaks").

Edit: Shoulda read to the end of the thread before replying... thanks @fritsch! Smile

i have been getting into issues since mesa 19.2 on intel ironlake graphics not only on libreelec but also archlinux which were fixed last night by the patch included in the bug report below, plz consider including it in tonight's build.
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/issues/1860

OK thanks, I'll include it in these builds from tonight - I won't bother adding it into the LibreELEC master tree, as the fix will come with mesa-19.2.1.

Hi Milhouse

i installed latest testbuild on my gemini lake htpc and get distorted image at the top. Its like a horizontal line through the image and the upper part is delayed by some frames:
Image

The issue can be seen very good when there are fast cuts, so i made a short video:

I cannot really tell the version this issue first appeared. I tried some older Kodi 19 alpha versions, and the issue is there as well. In Kodi 18 Libreelec versions, this issue is not present. I May do further investigation if needed.

debug log https://paste.kodi.tv/esowudayoj.kodi

btw: this issue is not present when i take a screenshot through kodi.

@Nafi - a vsync issue, perhaps? Is this with all video formats, and have you tried disabling deinterlace as a test?

Since this build, I am unable to use my Playstation 4 Dualshock controllers over bluetooth/wireless.  Up to and including build #0916, the controllers work as usual, and the LED on the controller turns blue after I pair it.  In build #0917 and above, although the pairing appears successful (the Wireless Controller shows up with Connected: Yes), the LED on the controller stays white, and has no interactivity with the UI.

I assume this has to do with the new 5.3.0 kernel, but don't have the faintest idea how to troubleshoot this.  Should I just sit tight and hope that compatibility is restored in a later build?

Edit: I've also tried with builds since bluez 5.51 was added, such as #0920 and #0930, and these do not work either.

Yes, this issue exists with all content. The content played while recording the video was 1080p24, so no deinterlacing needed. Tv properly switched to 1080p24 resolution.

Can you post a "kodi log" from the LE settings addon (using build #1006) so I can see if there's anything useful in the system log? You could also try the various 5.3-rc builds - there are 8 rc builds - as that might help narrow it down (see the 5.3 PR for links).

I'm really not sure.

How far back did you go with your testing of older Kodi 19 builds? Assuming it works on Gemini Lake, if you can test #0416 (which is the first Kodi 19 build in this thread) then if that has the issue it would be worth going back through the older Kodi 18 builds - in total there should be 365 builds (or thereabouts) still online, which is about 6 months of Kodi 19, and 6 months Kodi 18. Try bisecting these builds to help narrow down when the issue is introduced (assuming it's not present with the oldest available build which - at the time of writing - is #1001 [20181001]).

Are there any other Gemini Lake users with this issue when using these LibreELEC test builds?

Edit: I guess you should also make sure you're firmware is the latest - see this post in case it helps.

@Milhouse

I did some binary-search like investigation.

The issue starts with 0611 build. every build before 0611 is fine.
