i have got a Topping DX3 Pro (DAC and Headphone AMP) which i want to use with my Raspberry Pi 2B and Kodi. Currently it's connected like this:
Raspberry Pi 2 USB -> Topping DX3 Pro > Headphone 3.5mm
Under the audio settings i selected ALSA: USB DX3 Pro as Audio Output. Audio Passthrough is disabled.
My question is, if the DX3 Pro is used here only as an headphone AMP, or is it's internal DAC used as well? Because Audio Passthrough is disabled. I'm a bit confused.
Under Audio Passthrough i can only select ALSA: SPDIF DX3 Pro, not USB.
