With omxplayer being dropped in v19 I hope there is work to separate mmal player from being affected by the GUI.

Currently omxplayer provides the smoothest experience as it doesn't affect video when navigating through the menus.

I know you guys do a lot of great work, just raising awareness of this issue as Kodi 19 development is underway.
