So mine X1400 has these GL string. And it really needs the fix. CRAP.
GL_VENDOR = ATI Technologies Inc.
GL_RENDERER = ATI MOBILITY RADEON X1400
GL_VERSION = 2.0.6645 Release
Which only differs in re release version of the driver..

i just got windows installed on the same computer.. do you want me to get a windows binary to see if the problem exists in windows as well... or if it is just a linux problem...
Also, i'm currently trying to see if the git ati(radeon) driver can run xbmc.

The opensource ati driver doesn't have this problem.
i couldn't get the binary for windows to work, i'll try another revision soon.

I don't know if you have changed anything(haven't seen anything in the changelog), but i tried with the closed source driver again here two days ago(in a fully upgraded hardy), and now it worked again...

the hack is now turned off by default. you have to manually enable it in AdvancedSettings.xml. Check the other thread.
