I am not sure why there are different response, but I suspect @sub3 forces landscape for Kodi perhaps it looked better in the Confluence skin which was default when the addon was created?

I originally thought that too, but now I’m not so sure. There are a certain few that do slip thru and display as poster/portrait. Could it have something to do with the sizing of the image being sent to Kodi and how the pvr add-on handles it?
