If you are trying to do this using Kodi, go to system>filemanager double click on add source then access the drive/folder/files. Ensure you have your windows permissions for access.

Unable to Connect

Couldn't retrieve directory information. This could be due to the network not being connected. Would you like to add it anyway?

could it be a firewall problem ? and if so how do I fix it ?
