No Audio after end of play

Latest Shield OS 9.0 - Kodi 19.4 (and 19.3)

Very often, after the end of a movie/show, audio disappears completely. Subsequent play has no audio, and even Kodi UI sounds are no more.

Sometimes, quitting (or force quitting, as it seems something is stuck somewhere) fixes it temporarily. Other times a full reboot is necessary. Worst cases several reboots to make it work again, until next time.

No obvious trace in the logs (did not try debug logs yet).

Looks like a race condition when the audio stream has to be closed, and soon after has to be opened again for the next "sound", but this is just a guess. 

I would say that the symptoms began after the 9.0 upgrade. I went through the betas.

Any ideas, or things I could try. I am contemplating a full Kodi reinstall, it is said to fix a lot of things after 9.0.

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.
