Been using Kodi for 10 years and today got a Bose 900 soundbar.
Best i can get is Dolby Digital 5.1 to show, but for the life of me cannot get Atmos.
Films have  all the dts/atmos and 5.1 encoded sound but cannot get this to show atmos.

Amazon fire tv cube shows atmos demo content and the Bose app sees it at Atmos.
Tv is a Sony X90j and I have enabled and disabled EArc. Also used a toshlink digital cable.

Set the audio in kodi via expert mode. I've set it as 2.0/2.1/5.1/ 7.1 etc. I've enabled passthrough and still no joy.

This happens via kodi on the firetvcube as well as Kodi on the sony tv.

I wonder if this is a kodi issue as i think i saw similar things via sonos owners?

Please can someone shed some light?

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.
