Solved Instant crash

Trying to launch Kodi (Win 7 laptop) and it almost instantly crashes. Too fast (I think) to get an error file, but what do I know.

Installed latest version yesterday (18 Dec) but no change.

How to diagnose?

Hey, THANKS, Karellen!

Just created an advancedsettings xml file and will see what I get ... but in opening roaming/userdata I see a long list of KODI CRASHLOG files. Can't open them to see what's in ... but attached is the latest.

Offer any clues?

Oh - use paste.kodi ....

OK, so I do not see how to attach a file in hastebin. If I could open the file I'd copy/paste it ... but it's a dmp file type Huh

Tried opening the crashlog with notepad - pretty sure you don't want to see THAT ...

You can delete those crash logs. They are of no use except to developers. Although the kodi_stacktrace- might be helpful in seeing which thread it crashed on.
The Debug Log is the better log to check for now.

No idea if this is readable to you, but for what it's worth this is the crashlog opened as a txt file:

Something gone wrong with audio output?

And something is also wrong with your set-up to the point we can't help you at this point.
You see all those lines in orange in your log, those are banned add-ons (wiki).
And because of those, it breaks our forum rules (wiki) and our assistance must end here.
Now feel free to come back after cleaning up those pesky add-ons , open a new thread,
and we will try to help you the best we can.

This thread will go to the bin soon.

There is definitely something wrong...

There is quite a crapload of piracy add-ons installed on your Kodi setup. I suggest you start scrubbing every orange-colored entry off that machine, our support will resume when your cleaning is fully done (all as per our forum rules (wiki) and subsequent piracy policy (wiki) ).

Hey guy, thank you. I'm an old guy (70's) and not that savy ...

saw the orange lines you were referring to in the binhost file (oddly enough, all was b&w in the original).

went to scratch any add-ons but realized I couldn't open Kodi to do so. Soooo deleted Kodi and the folder in Roaming, and started from scratch.  Worked! So,  I am good to go with a nice clean Kodi.

Thanks for pointin g out the problems!
