PC with HDMI-CEC support
#1
Hey, I got a new Kodi build based on an ASUS PN52 NUC PC. The hardware base is an AMD Ryzen5 5600H and it should support CEC on the HDMI interfacce. At least I can set auto TV on in firmware and this works.
The question is now how to setup Kodi to use the CEC for controlling TV and soundbar volume without the typical pulse eight adapter. Is this possible and if yes how? Thanx!

Sorry, doesn't help much. I wonder what I should expect within KODI. Should there be a device found in "system" ?

Kodi is software and given the plethora of hardware available, the code only supplies software hooks for hardware to latch. In the case of the Pulse-Eight USB CEC Adapter, some users have luck, while others not so-much. In your case if you can start your PC & turn on the TV via CEC then most of the battle is done, at this point you could initiate Kodi via start-up on the PC or allocate some key-start. Audio up/down should be native but given CEC issues not sure where to go with this.
