I use XBMC 8.10 on ubuntu 8.10. XBMC works fine on my Plasma TV
with a native resolution of 1024x780. If I start XBMC on my 7" TFT in my
case that has a resolution of 800x600 XBMC still uses a resolution of 1024x768
so that it is only partly visible. I wanted to change the resolution in the settings dialog, but there was already 800x600 chosen. It seems that XBMC had already detected the resolution, but why is it not used?
What do I wrong?
I have a nvidia graphic card and use a dual head setup without xinerama or
twinview support. I have no desktop installed, but I have to start compiz, because I need it for another application that is a front end for the video disc
recorder.
I have read about problems with xbmc and compiz and that I have to tweak compiz to work with xbmc, but I have not found what I have to tweak.
Beside this resolution problem, everything works fine.
