SMB asks for username and password
#16
I have same issue with XPSP3 and ubuntu. I have setup my Ubuntu with a samba share ( username and password required ). Now in xp I have to enter a login and password only once on reboot to access my samba share.

On my XPSP3 machine, I have to force XBMC to connect to my samba share via Add Source to have access to the files on my Ubuntu machine. This has to be done everytime I start XBMC. I have setup default samab userid and password under XBMC and it seems to pickup the userid but not the password. Once I set the password, everything is fine.

If windows already have access to the folder ( by accessing the folder once via windows ), shouldn't XBMC have access it as well without password or username ?

Update:- It is fixed now in latest revision .
