Cyberlink IR Remote and XBMC Windows
#1
Question
Hello guys.

Ok, I have got a couple of Cyberlink media center remotes spare which I want to use with XBMC. I understand the way the remotes work is by emulating a keyboard and mouse. Now, how do I go about inserting the appropriate keys into the keymap.xml? I believe that I have to somehow translate the keys into SDL Keys? Does anyone have any tips on how I can get this working?

Thanks,

Kai.

Apply EventGhost http://www.eventghost.org/wiki/EventGhost:About # Requirements. Add 3 times HID plugin and have prepared the map in EG. add it as a plugin .Program buttons and everything works great .

go "Configuration -> add plugin"

then choose "generic HID" (4th one down)

you should have 3 "HID Mouse" to choose from, click the top one, then click "apply" then "ok".

you then need to redo it, to add the other two "HID Mouse"s.

also, you need the "plugin: keyboard" enabled.

that will give you all buttons. kill all processes relating to VMC to stop it opening when you press "home" or the four coloured buttons. i think the processes all start evr but im not sure.

hope that helps
