Question
I have a Mac Mini with OS X 10.4, I just started exploring XBMC yesterday. I am very happy with it, only 1 thing really bugging me: its full screen behavior.

When I start XBMC, it will not start in full screen mode, I need to get my keyboard and press \ to get it in full screen. Then I select a movie, and after playing, it returns to windowed view! I tried with several skins, but none of them seem to have auto full screen functionality.

Am I missing smth, or is this a bug?

Don't switch to fullscreen with \.

Instead, select the appropriate fullscreen mode from Settings->Appearance->Screen.

Cheers,
Jonathan

It was on Auto. Now I have selected the option 1360x768 (Full Screen) and after restarting XBMC, it turned to full screen, where it stays even after movies are finished. So far so good!

I am afraid though this will not solve all my problems, since I use it with both an LCD screen (1360x768) and a projector (1280x720). I cannot test it with the projector now, since it is having its iris replaced Smile but I suspect I would need a Full Screen setting without specific resolution, so it will be full screen no matter what screen is attached.

If the other screen is attached, then the option to switch to that screen will be available via the same setting.

Aha, but the two screens are never used simultaneously. I use an HDMI switch to switch displays, so when the Mac boots, sometimes the LCD is there, and sometimes the projector. OSX works fine with that, and remembers what resolution was used last with that specific display. Will XBMC rememer the setting per display?
