[MAC] Setting to startup XBMC on secondary display?
#1
Question
has anyone found a way to get xbmc to start up on a secondary display? Plex does it, i searched the forum and found a workaround to make the windows version of xbmc do it, but i can't find a solution for the mac. It will always start up on the primary display, and i have to switch to window mode, drag the window to the 2nd display, and switch back to fullscreen mode. Very annoying since it requires a mouse and getting up to operate the computer to do it.

Any suggestions?

Not at the current time, XBMCs handling of display resolutions and settings needs a re-factor before this can happen. This will not make 9.04 release as we are in a feature freeze right now.

I simply dragged the top bar to the second display in the display settings to make it primary when connected.

So when I connect my plasma TV to my Macbook, everything switches to the TV and I can simply start xbmc via remote.

Hendricus Robijn who made 'TV Row' just released the utility, 'XBMC Launcher'.
With this, you can startup XBMC on a secondary display.
You can download here

Thanks Hendricus.
