Need Help w/ Bad DVD Quality
#1
Hey, I'm new to XBMC, just installed it last night and added some ripped DVD files from my hard drive. No problem, there, but when I play them, the quality is really bad, alot of jagged edges and stuff. They are full quality rips which play fine everywhere else but I really like XBMC so far and just want them to play back like every other program does.

I've been messing with the Video Settings, Interlaced Handling and Video Scaling Method, but can't seem to get anywhere.

Any help would be great, thanks

DVD picture quality with internal player is crap no matter what you do, atleast with my PC.

Interesting...I actually thought the de-interlacing looked pretty good on mine compared to how it did on the xbox.

Many of DVDs i have tested just won't deinterlace properly, none of the deinterlacing modes work 100%. Usually "deinterlace" gives the best picture. An even if deinterlacing works, scaling seems to be pretty poor. Propably crappy onboard Geforce 7100 has something to do with it.

All this when comparing to PS3.
