If it doesn't work try the modeline generator:

Now knowing that it was my cable that was broken, I today gave this a new try. Ive had a couple of nice weeks with the a modeline for 720p @ 60, given from the EDID file from my TV.
BUT I also would like to give 1080p@24 a try. Even if its an 1024x768 plasma, i shall be able to play 24 fps in 1080p.
When I try the 1080 modelines from my EDID files, and change the res. in NVIDIA settings, the screen are not correct. It splitted, moved in X and Y and so on..
Strange, cause the 720@60 modeline from the EDID works fine..
I then tried this modeline you gave me. The one you use at your panasonic TV, and that worked pretty well. BUT still its moved to the X-line...not prefect...
Can you please help me generate better modeline for me, in 1080p@24, 50, 60. ?
The "gtf" doesnt generate good modelines for me..
EDIT: When setting # at all my modelines, my htpc starts up in 1080, but not correct. I also DONT have the option to choose 720p from the NVIDIA settings then.
I've also noticed that when start up with the 720p_60 modeline from my EDID it isnt really 60 Hz. Its 50 Hz I guess.
