I am using the remote that came with my ATI TV Wonder HD 650 tuner. I don't have the turner in my HTPC because my TV has one so I kept in my computer in the other room. However, I would like to use the remote in limited capacity with XBMC on my HTPC and it works fine for everything I need it to except for the ecsape key. The back button on the remote triggers the browserback function (tested with eventghost) and I am trying to figure out if there is a way for me to map the back button on the remote to the escape key or possibly map the browserback function to the escape key. I have already tried mapping the browserback keystroke to the escape button which works when pressing the browserback button on my keyboard but not when using the back button on my remote.
As a back up consideration, will the XBOX 360 standard remote work with the Xbox wireless gaming reciever and if so is there away to disable the remote so that it doesn't work on my 360 so I can use it for my HTPC?
