On xbox one could define a OBC <obc254>XBMC.internalcommand()</obc254> to execute a internal command from IR remote
It looks like the interface from Lircmap.xml to Keymap.xml in linuxport requires that all LIRC buttons be mapped to the predefined remote buttons.
ie only able to be bound to title,menu,select,1,2,3 etc buttons.
I cannot find any way pass a 'custom' button from Lircmap.xml to Keymap.xml
This is limiting for people with customized remotes that have smart playlists, scripts, and other functions associated with buttons on their remote.
Hopefully I'm just overlooking something.
I suppose its possible to recreate this functionality through LIRC using irxevent and wget's to the http server. Thats a very ugly way of doing it and is not context specific like keymap.xml is.
Thanks
Loto
