No, it means it needs to be fixed for shaders.

Try switching to software as the renderer and see if that allows you to change brightness.

shader brightness/contrast control would be appreciated.

I posted report here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=55134 , only way to get B/C working is to set renderer to Software, but after that CPU is maxed with some frame drops, that's xbmc live + nvidia, B/C thorugh gpu shaders would fix it.

Update : I have reinstalled XBMC and when i run it with the default skin i can change brightness and contrast. So maybe it has something to do with the aeon skin.

Will continue the test!
