i would like to see the cast credits in the multiplex view (i'm using Hitchers' mod). Is it possible to replace the Writer credits or the Genre with this (and perhaps make it auto-scroll)?

The Genre is mentioned in the bottom bar anyways, so it just seems like a duplicate there and the real-estate becomes available for other info :-)
