Hello there,
I have XBMC Live (latest SVN) and it is installed on CF Card 4gb (via card reader as removable drive).
After that I have changed following line in menu.lst (boot=usb to boot=disk)
kernel /vmlinuz initrd=initrd0.img boot=disk quiet splash xbmc=intel,nodiskmount,tempfs,setvolume loglevel=0
and plugged it in IDE to CF adapter. It works like a charm.
If I need to plug CF card again to card reader I just change back to boot=usb
When I play a while and mess up the things I just copy back CF content from XP folder to CF card and I'm up and running.
However, I tried same process with two USB sticks (Kingston DataTraveler 4gb G2 and Kingston DataTraveler 8gb)
Copy pasted the content changed to boot=usb but can't boot xbmc.
My PC boot's fine from USB sticks if other bootable OS is on them.
So, I guess is not just that simple as I thought...
Is there something I'm missing here?
Any tips would be highly appreciated
