xbmc performance as a windowed player

last two weeks i have using xbmc as a regular music player while i making another some things, but when cpu has a 60% load, the music just stop, this doesnt happen with other common players as a wmp winamp etc..

how can i play my music with xbmc without stops?
please helpme

minimedia skin
sempron 2800+ (2.00GHz)
1 gb ram
