THanks folks. I just posted 2 debug logs showing the 1st invocation and the subsequent long delay and the 2nd log showing immediate delay.

The first title daredevil.iso took maybe 15 seconds to load the 1st time. The 2nd title finding_nemo.iso took over 1 minute to load the first time on the mac. both are instantaneous the 2nd time and anytime I try this on an xbox running xbmc. I have seen this also on linux but the MAC mini and ATV seem to make this problem the most severe.

They've had their hands full lately with the changes in SVN. As long as there is a trac ticket it will get addressed in due time.
