Auto exit on idle timeout
#1
Question
Hello all,

when idle (just displayed homescreen, there are no disk activity) XBMC consumed about 20-40% of CPU load. Is it possible to shutdown XBMC after, say, 30-60 min of user inactivity ? Like screensaver/cpusaver Smile

Hardware: Acer Revo r3600 (Atom/Ion)
OS: Windows XP / Windows 7
latest XBMC build

See Shutdown Function and Shutdown Timer in xbmc system setting ..
The normal XBMC log IS NOT a debug log, to enable debug logging you must toggle it on under XBMC Settings - System or in advancedsettings.xml. Use XBMC Debug Log Addon to retrieve it.

I have found though, if the screensaver is enabled, the idle shutdown timer doesn't work. Surely this isn't what is meant to happen. I am using a slideshow for my screensaver set to 5 mins, and if i set the idle shutdown time to 10 mins and suspend as shutdown type it doesn't go to sleep by itself.

However if i turn off the screensaver the idle shutdown timer will work.
