Clearart is working for me on Temmi's.... I'll grant the ff/rw gets interfered with, but it does work. :-) Not on the Info screen, but on the seek bar.

I can confirm that clearart is working and the thumbs works ONLY when scraped from thetvdb. When not scraped (generated by xbmc), then the default square thumb appears. But I look at this as a feature, a motivation to upload a thumb (or description if missing).

What view are you using? For the one series I have where the thumbs are poster aspect or square, they remain that way for me in all views, be it library or file mode.

I have no idea... I haven't (yet) touched the low list view, but a quick test here just showed the same behavior except that when paused it was the correct aspect ratio; it was only wrong in Low List view.
I'll poke around and see if I can't find a quick fix.

It's definitely Low List view that came from Temmi's git last night (just verified with a clean download of his from git). If you hit the right arrow you'll see that the thumb is displayed in the correct aspect/size on the right side of the screen and the left is replaced with the show poster. A little more digging shows that the aspect ratio is correct, the sides are just cropped to fit in the image frame... Not sure if that is by design by Leeuw or not.

Better? The main issue is you are limited to just the one overlay image and while I like the looks on most views, it doesn't translate well when really small

like the new watched overlay on all but lowlist, not sure how you can make it look any better for low list. but i could live with it as you originally did it ie without the horizontall one on the highlited film as that looks awfull to me(sorry)

yeah Sorry looks terrible is there anyway of having teh tick for lowlist and yours for other views Maybe ?

Kinda what I thought as well.
Unfortunately there can only be one image file used for the overlay at this point. I'll remove the horizontal version and post what I have to github as it stands. I may just end up going back to the check mark...Thanks for the input!
