re balancing and defragging didn't help the problem...i can't figure out why i'm having this problem

Im using XBMC on windows 7 & all are connected via Gigabit lan to a home made "Home Server", i am not having any issues streaming from it, so try updating the lan drivers, if its realtek dont use the windows update ones, try going to Realtek 7 getting the latest ones.

do you have any Anti-Virus SW installed on the Home Server ? Once I disabled McAfee on my WHS box, streaming worked fine (also updated to 2GB RAM on my HP WHS box)
