just been messin with my webcam and came across some sweet streaming software.

the following enhancements to the palantir system have been considered for future release:
* support for certain pan/tilt hardware such as trackerpod and canon vcc3
* native linux client with audio support
* host- and password-based authentication
* ipv6 support
* stream encryption
* improved logging
* motion detection
* movie recording
* event-triggered recording (sensors, motion detection...)
* presettable camera positions
* nonlinear device readings transformations
* graphical presentation of device readings in html
* xml device readings output
i think xbmc and this could open up some of the wanted features ive seen mentioned b4 here and there
