Missing Database?
#1
Hello all,

Sorry for the newbie post, but I've searched around and can't seem to find an answer to my problem.

I've installed XBMC and I am messing around with getting my libraries imported and set up the way I'd like them. I have added music sources, scanned them into the library and can browse them normally.

My problem comes when I try to delete the music database to start over. I go to the userdata folder and there is no database there!

My goal is to "start over" with the libary, and I'm not sure how to do it without the deleting the database.:confused2:

Thanks for your help, and sorry again for the newbishness of my question.

A logfile would help since it would detail the directory structure you're using.

But the database should either be in
"program install directory"\userdata\database"
folder if you're using a portable install (check the shortcut for XBMC to see if there's a -p at the end)
Or in your
%appdata%\XBMC\userdata\database in XP, or %appdata%\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\database\ in Vista (I assume 7 as well)
