I have kubuntu 9.04 and the last release of XBMC. I would like to know if I can configure the remote control of my hauppauge nova-t-stick to control XBMC.

Yes you can. First get it to work with lirc. I believe your remote is in lirc data base so just install lirc package and choose correct remote from the list. After that you will need to create a button list for XBMC unless somebody can send you one.
