How do I change the theme from cmdline?
#1
I was trying out the various themes on my Linux installation of XBMC... but I've managed to select one which has no buttons and appears to be generally borked.

How can I change it back to PM.HD from the command line? Where is the current setting stored? Can I just edit an XML file somewhere?

Help (before my girlfriend gets back from work and wants to watch Dancing with the Stars!)

Thanks

it's in guisettings.xml in your userdata (or userdata/profiles/PROFILE) directory. the tag is <skin>.

mine has done that to me before and it was the tv i swapped it to , so i just turned the machine off and back on and it adjusted to the resolution of the tv with the current skin then i was able to change it back.

Nah, the TV is fine. I changed the skin to 'Back-Row' and now I have no buttons or controls.

I tried editing the guisettings.xml file (changed the <skin> tag) but on reboot it is restored to Back-Row.

Is there a master profile somewhere that may need changed?

OK, now restored... thx.

I ended up just deleting the <skin> tag completely, and it defaulted back to PM.HD.

Thanks for the assistance.
