So i just purchased what i had hoped was my ideal XBMC setup. An acer aspire revo R3600. I followed the setup thread to get xbmc up and running but it downmixes all the audio into two channels.

Surely this isn't correct... I bought the revo since linux supports the vdpau (or whatever the letters are) but whats the point of being able to decode HD if the audio gets downmixed to 2 channels?

I don't know linux at all but I can follow directions. I've tried searching but haven't really found much.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
