YouTube pulls API access from devices
#1
Hey guys, I just read this on Engadget a second ago; "YouTube pulls a Hulu -- yanking API access from Popcorn Hour, other TV-connected devices". Does anyone know if this will also affect the YouTube3 plugin in XBMC? Is there any theoretical workaround, especially considering the new Flash will have hardware decoding for videos?

I've also just read this over at Lifehacker and immediately checked this forum.
I hope it will still work with the Xbox.

Is it possible to fake the UA-String with a plugin or script?

Yes it is. For an example look at the AMT plugin.

Okay, thanks for the info.
So this isn't a big problem. Good to know.
