if you want Adobe to implement hardware support for Flash 10.1 in Linux then we need to pressure them here: http://bugs.adobe.com. I have created a feature request, please add comments and we can get this sorted out.

I would love to see this as well but at this point it's not entirely Adobes fault...

Linux currently lacks a developed standard API that supports H.264 hardware video decoding, and Mac OS X does not expose access to the required APIs. The Flash Player team will continue to evaluate adding hardware acceleration to Linux and Mac OS X in future releases.
