[AppleTV] 24p (24 FPS 1080p output to display) with Broadcom Crystal HD on Apple TV?
#16
I understand that XBMC somehow fails to output a resolution higher than 720p even though 1080p is selected in Apple TV OS. But I nevertheless I have some questions about 1080p display support:

Can the Apple TV OS output 1080p24?

As far as I know, the HDMI standard(s) doesn't support 720p at 24 Hz, only at 50 and 60 Hz. What will XBMC then do when playing back a 1080p24 file? Will it do 2:3 pulldown?

If you notice the fat part....Does it rescale back to 720P output or is it just a NOTICE message as is...not really doing that...

scales to desktop resolution, DEBUG vs NOTICE is just how the log message is formatted, All DEBUG logging goes away in a release build unless you have debugger logging enabled.
