Reading information from filename

Question
I've just recently started using XBMC and I'm very happy with it. I've been searching for a solution for this, but I couldn't find one. I hope you guys here can give me a hint into the correct direction.

I would like to extract information which is stored in the filename and somehow add it to the XBMC GUI (we are talking about movies here).
Let's say my movie is called "The Movie (English).avi" I would like to copy "English" or "(English") to the library. It would be enough just to copy it to the beginning of the plot or somewhere else. I'd just like to be able to quickly see the language of the movie, instead of having to look up the filename.
