One of the best things that Boxee does have is the easy availability of APPS. Within XBMC we have something close to this in the SVN Repo Installer. It does however fall short since no true official repository is setup.
The largest respository is the "unofficial" one that Nukka runs (http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-addons). Yet if you search google code you will find at least a hundred or more individual repositories out there.
There are also numerous members that create plugins and host them on file sharing services or personal web hosts.
So I pose these questions.
1. Is an official repository in the works?
or
2. Can the SVN Repo Installer be setup to easily allow users to add a URL to it for access to other googlecode or sourceforge repositories? Providing that some basic documentation is provided on how to configure your repository to work correctly.
I have updates to many of my past scripts I want to get available easily to XBMC users and also some new ones. Having them available within the REPO Installer or whatever future Official site would be the best.
