Hello all. Hope all is well.

I am looking into creating my own HTPC using XBMC.

I want my system to boot straight up into XBMC so I thought the live version would be the best. I am not interested in running anything else other than XBMC, so I dont plan on installing an OS on the internal HDD, I would like to install XBMC live straight onto the internal HDD.

If I do this can I still access advanced settings, like for example the advanced setting xml file?

As there is no base OS the only way the machine could be run is through XBMC.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers.

Tom

You will have no problem if you install live to the internal disk. Matter of fact, it will no longer be a live installation.
BTW, xbmc live does not only come with a OS it is actually a fully working ubuntu OS minus the gnome desktop.
