Hello,
First of all thank for the wonderful software and amazing support! I have read many topics over the past few days and have succeeded in most task but for the life of it I can't seem to figure out the last one!
I have a N330 motherboard with SPDIF out, I can't see the SPDIF in the control panel (it only list Digital Audio (HDMI) and various analog options). I do see the SPDIF interface in Alsamixer (and have unmuted it). Sounds works fine over HDMI but I'm not interested in that.
Preferable I would like all audio to go through the SPDIF.
I will add the output of "aplay -l" and "aplay -L" in a few seconds.
Thanks in advance

The following (relevant) packages are installed :
Someone else with exactly the same problem : http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=71354
Unfortanely no solution.
Edit again :
Support was added in Linux Kernel 2.6.33 unfortunately Ubuntu still ships with the old kernel.

EDIT :
Awesome!
With Kernel 2.6.33 it is plug and play!
