xmbc crashes on mac mini 10.6

help,

xmbc crashes on starting application error log reports invalid pixel format? assuming xmbc does not like the monitor?

i have installed the latest safe download of xmbc... it work fine on other g5...

mac mini 10.6.3 lilliput 10.1 inch touch screen monitor 1024x576 res.

any help would be greatly appreciated!
