XBMC Development - Where is it going?
#1
I have seen in a number of posts that things are being put on hold pending certain developments in the core XBMC program being finalised.

I have done a couple of searches but cannot see the definitive information I am looking for so...

as per the title, what is currently happening with the development of the program? What is being added?

As has been stated a couple times now, take that roadmap for a grain of salt. As to the original question: This will probably be much more helpful to you.

Essentially, every dev is devoting most of his time to making as much XBMC an update-able addon as possible. This is true for scrapers, tv tuners, skins, more traditional addons, possibly even library functionality (I may have made that one up), etc.

Naturally, that takes time. Once they feel they've accomplished this in a manner that doesn't result in 10,000 forum posts, they'll start the release process.

Excellent. Thank you natethomas.
This was exactly the type of answer I was looking for. Nod

Some people are far too up themselves. Confused

And as a perfect example of why nightly builds are not running, see this post

Now multiply this by 10,000.
