I have a nas on gige - with a Win 7 (gige) running xbmc. some of the 1080p movies have jitter - slomo - then regular..

this does not happen when I veiw the same movie using vlc.

is there a setting I'm missing ?

Turn on debug logging and check the CPU (or press o on the keybiard while watching one of the problematic videos). If you are not using a build of XBMC that supports hardware acceleration you may be CPU limited.
