Is it possible to call a shell command whenever play button or pause button is pressed on the remote? I am using a home automation system that works by sending commands directly to the USB port, which allows me to turn on/off the lights in my HT. These are simply controlled by issuing commands at the shell. So if I press play on my remote I would want to issue a set command in shell.

Possible?
